Thank you for visiting my page. I'm Abra Alexis Barnes, named after two great men in my life, my grandfather's Abraham & Alex. I want to earn my position as Your Realtor.
I began selling Real Estate since 2001. Presently, I am a REALTOR, Associate Broker and the Vice President of Marketing & Agent Development for Barnes & Associates, P.C. REALTORS. I have also received my ABR (Accredited Buyers Representation) Designation as well as an Alabama Real Estate Pre-License & Post-License Teaching Certificate.
I graduated from The University of Alabama, where I received a B.S. Degree in Marketing /Fashion Merchandising. My achievements include being the recipient of the First Time Homebuyer REALTOR of the Year Award for the State of Alabama in 2004 and the First Time Home Buyer REALTOR of the Year for the Western Area in 2006 & 2007 presented by the Birmingham Association of REALTORS. In addition, I was awarded the Broker/Agent of the Year in 2007 and honored as a member of the Birmingham Association of REALTORS Club of Excellence for Production. In 2004 I was noted as being the youngest Licensed Real Estate Instructor for the State of Alabama. My achievements goes on and on, yet my main focus is keeping my clients needs and best interest at heart at all times! Professionalism, Experience & Excellence are three words that describe my work ethic.
Not only am I diligent when it comes to providing excellent customer service in regards to selling real estate, but I am also an active community activist. I was the co-host/sponsor of 98.7 KISS FM monthly real estate segment for two years, a Housing Counselor, a Board Member for the Birmingham Chapter SCLC (Southern Christian Leadership Conference) and the SYLA (Supreme Youth Leadership Academy). I am also a member of United Fellowship Breakfast Forum (UFBF), Birmingham Urban League Young Professionals (BULYP) and Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated. I volunteer for United Way, Habitat for Humanity and many other organizations. In 2013 my father Anthony and I co-chaired the UNCF Masked Gala and together with the assistance of their teak they raised over $1,000,000 in scholarship money for low income students. I not only work hard for her clients, but I am also a voice for my community!
